本网报道：美国首都华盛顿特区消防和警方等部门官员在华盛顿里根国家机场就客机与军用直升机相撞坠河事件的救援、调查等问题举行新闻发布会。

会上，华盛顿特区消防和急救部门负责人约翰·唐纳利表示，救援人员已经找到41具遇难者遗体，其中28名遇难者的身份已经确认，已通知18名遇难者家属。但需要拆除发生碰撞的飞机机身，才能将所有遇难者遗体打捞出来。

唐纳利表示，将尽全力确认所有遇难者身份。

此外，美国陆军公布了两名事故中遇难军人的身份，最后一人应家属要求未予公布。

1月29日晚，美国一架客机在首都华盛顿与一架军方直升机相撞，两机发生爆炸后坠河，无人生还，共有67人遇难。

NEWS: Cambodia’s tourism sector earned a total revenue of US$3.63 billion in 2024, up 17.8 percent from US$3.08 billion a year earlier, said a report from the Ministry of Tourism released on Jan. 31.

The Kingdom received 6.7 million international tourists last year, up 22.9 percent from 5.45 million in the year before, the report added.

This Southeast Asian country launched the 2024 Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year last month, hoping that the initiative would be a catalyst for increased tourism and investments.

Thailand was the largest source of foreign tourists to the Kingdom in 2024, the report said, pointing out that the country welcomed 2.14 million Thai visitors last year, up 17.9 percent from 1.82 million in a year earlier.

Vietnamese and Chinese tourists ranked second and third of the country’s tourism market list with 1.34 million and 0.84 million, respectively.

Tourism is one of the four pillars supporting Cambodia’s economy. The country has four world heritage sites, namely the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap northwestern province, the Temple Zone of Sambor Prei Kuk in Kampong Thom central province, and the Temple of Preah Vihear and the Koh Ker archaeological site in Preah Vihear northern province.

Besides, it has a pristine coastline stretching in the length of about 450 km in four southwest provinces of Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kep and Koh Kong.

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, said that the ministry has set a strategic plan in targeting to attract up to 7.2 million or 7.5 million foreign tourists in 2025.

“The ministry will prioritise key tasks, including developing a detailed action plan, ensuring the plan is carried out effectively and responsibly, and continuously monitoring and assessing tourist arrivals, with the ambition to attract more foreign tourists to Cambodia,” he said.

NEWS: Cambodia’s Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra has encouraged officials of the Oddar Meanchey Provincial Information Department to serve as a strong Secretariat for the provincial administration in the field of information and public opinion.  

He urged them to remain vigilant in verifying false information and to swiftly counter and prevent the spread of fake news on social media that could impact stability, public order, and security in the province and across the country. 

The minister made these remarks during a meeting on Jan. 30 afternoon where he extended his greetings and presented honorary medals and certificates of appreciation to the leadership and officials of the Oddar Meanchey Provincial Information Department in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

H.E. Neth Pheaktra encouraged the department’s information and public relations teams to continue producing and disseminating more news highlighting the province’s potential. This, he said, would provide the public with comprehensive information while also countering misinformation. 

H.E. Minister urged them to focus on producing positive content that showcases the achievements of the provincial administration and the efforts of relevant institutions in serving the people across all sectors. He also highly praised the department for its significant achievements in 2024, particularly in managing information and public relations within the province.

本网报道：近日，美国政府移民与海关执法局（ICE）发布了一份关于被遣返非法移民的名单，其中包括1747名柬埔寨籍移民。

该名单中还显示，除了柬埔寨，泰国籍移民有619人，老挝籍移民有4850人，越南籍移民有8675人。其中，来自洪都拉斯、危地马拉和萨尔瓦多的被驱逐移民人数最多分别为约26万人、25万人和20万人。

美国移民局在完成相关驱逐程序后，将根据法律规定，将上述非法移民遣返回其原籍国。美国政府表示相信这些国家会接收其公民，并已警告称，将把拒绝接收自国公民的国家列入不合作国家名单。

柬埔寨政府发言人班波那对此回应，表示他尚未确认即将遣返的柬埔寨籍移民的确切人数，但重申柬埔寨政府将会接收自己的同胞回国。

在此次评选中，澳大利亚悉尼的悉尼歌剧院位居第二，法国巴黎的埃菲尔铁塔排名第三。中国的万里长城则排在第六位，泰国曼谷的大王宫排名第22，中国西藏的布达拉宫则位列第29，而排名最后的是玻利维亚的西尤尤尼盐沼。

值得一提的是，今年初，全球最大旅游网站猫途鹰发布了“2025年亚洲最佳旅游目的地”榜单，柬埔寨的暹粒省和首都金边分别位列第5和第18，彰显了柬埔寨在国际旅游市场中的重要地位。

柬埔寨旅游部表示，此次排名反映了吴哥窟作为文化和历史遗产的独特魅力，吸引着来自世界各地的游客，未来将继续致力于推动旅游业的发展与保护工作。
